I’ve been back from Brazil for two weeks and I have been eating so clean. I hope you’re proud. It is so hard! (I have had one cheat meal and it was glorious.) Staying away from sugars for me is so hard. My sugar cravings are very strong.
Anyway, I have been using my friend Erika’s meal planner. (Remember when I featured her on “She Runs Around”?) Well, she has released her 40-Day Meal Planner and Workout Guide and I had to give it a try. (Click here to check it out- there’s one for women and one for men.) Guys, it is the best. And I would know because I have bought several. I have been using it mainly for lunches, breakfasts, and snacks, and then just making healthy family dinners (teriyaki bowls, turkey meatloaf and sweet potatoes, taco salads, etc.) and eating with my family at night.
She gives the nutrition facts and macros for every single snack and meal and the totals for the day if you follow the plan exactly. She gives you shopping lists for the week and tells you what to meal prep before the week starts. My favorite thing about her recipes? They are simple. If you know me, you know I will not even look at a recipe for longer than 5 seconds if it looks complex.
The plan also includes workouts, which I have not tried.
The above picture is the meal planning I have done for mornings… these are her version of protein energy balls (much simpler than the ones I posted here) and egg muffins. Both so easy and convenient in the morning. I know that when I get back from Vancouver they will be gone- everyone loves them!
Don’t worry- I plan on splurging in Vancouver, but I hope I can get back on track when I get home. My energy level is up and I don’t miss the bloat that I gained during our trip to Brazil.
