I have hard wood floors in my house. When Gus is being lazy and laying around, and I say, “Gus, let’s go!” it takes him a while to get up. His paws slip and slide out from under him, and by the time he gains his footing, he usually decides to stretch, yawn, and procrastinate in any way he can.
When it comes to training for CIM, I am Gus.
CIM is in 16 weeks and my paws have slipped and slid, and I’ve stretched and yawned and procrastinated. But I’m up. I’m moving.
It was a thought in my head that I would not stand at the start line in December for CIM. Maybe run a spring marathon. (Has the fire burned out now that I’ve PR’d?)
But, I’ve never not run a marathon I was signed up for.
And I’m not about to start now.
#25 here I come.
Weekly training updates starting on Monday.
