Today I start the trek home from Brazil. Lots of stops and connections and long flights. The flights home after big trips are always so hard for me. When I’m ready to be home with my kids, I’m ready NOW. I once had a (quiet) anxiety/crying spell in the Dominican Republic airport after a dental humanitarian trip because I couldn’t go another minute without seeing my girls (our boys were with us.) Maybe I was tired and/or hungry, too.
I apologize for the blog neglect. Next week stay tuned for all the details on my trip, the Race Rundown from the Rio Maratona, and other fun stuff.
Can’t wait to be home with my crew, eating normal food, sleeping in my own bed, blogging from my regular spot in my craft room by the window.
Oh how I love to see the world, but my own little world will always be my favorite.
(I sure will miss this Brazilian afro. I think it suits me, yea?)
